for a test team with engineers in both software testing and hardware testing (including a senior specialist in compliance, FCC, and cybersecurity). The team works project-based and covers the entire chain: requirements → testability → test cases → verification → compliance. You are part of the Engineering department's management team and work closely with project managers, development, architects, and other technical roles. The role is both strategic and operational – you lead the team but also shape the structures that make testing work efficient and scalable.Your missionLead and develop the team

• Set goals, structure, and clear frameworks
• Recruit new employees as needed
• Conduct team meetings, development discussions, and manage salary setting
• Ensure a safe and sustainable working environment

Shape the testing area forward

• Develop processes, methods, and testing strategies
• Support project managers with a testing perspective in all phases
• Drive improvements and development of test automation
• Ensure that requirements and test cases are clear and testable
• Contribute to certification and compliance activities

Close collaboration in the organization

• Be the link between the test team and other parts of Engineering
• Lead smaller projects related to quality and certification
• Collaborate cross-functionally to get the right information at the right time

You have:

• Vocational, college, or university education in engineering
• (computer science, electronics, product development, automotive engineering, etc. work excellently)
• Several years of experience in system testing within product development / embedded systems
• Practical experience in writing, executing, and prioritizing test cases
• Experience in test automation (1–3 years minimum)
• Knowledge of Jira, GitLab, and programming for automated testing
• Experience in leading teams – formally or informally
• Good Swedish and good English

Meritorious:

• Previous managerial responsibility over a test team
• Experience in testing throughout the product lifecycle
• Experience in requirements analysis
• Basic knowledge of Linux
• Experience in compliance and certification testing (e.g., FCC)
• The ability to manage multiple parallel activities in a structured manner
